In doing so, we can begin to relieve the environmental pressure placed upon the marine system with the rising demand of fish oil. Ahiflower contains more and healthier omegas than any other natural plant or seed oil. All from a single plant source, we can deliver the health benefits associated with fish oil, evening primrose oil, fish and flax seed oil. Further, we are beginning clinical research on the beneficial impact of Ahiflower combined with our probiotic blend.
The only product on the market to deliver double the dose of good bacteria, when compared to a standard capsule. Our probiotic and plant-based omega oil helps your body receive concentrated benefits with just one daily effort by you. Targeted probiotics give your body the daily support it needs for digestive and immune health and plant-based omega fatty acids support your body and brain.*
Once you have decided to buy a probiotic supplement, there are two important items to look for on the label. The first is to make sure that they are labeled with the strain designation. These are normally a series of letters and/or numbers as part of the probiotic name. This tells you exactly which probiotic is in the product. If you find one without this, there is no way to know exactly what you are getting, or even if you are getting the same probiotic every time you purchase it. Each strain is genetically unique and health benefits can vary. Transparency of strain identification is the only way to trace back to specific, science supported benefits. The second item to look for on the label is that it does not say that CFU counts are guaranteed at the time of manufacture. This means they only guarantee what they tell you is in the product when it is first made. Rather, you want a product that guarantees you get the stated amount through the end of shelf life of the product.
What’s Gut Health ?
Gut health issues present themselves in many different ways that you can feel from head to toe. The most common way that gut health issues first present themselves is through an upset stomach and a weakened immune system. If you are experiencing bloating, discomfort after a meal, constipation, or heartburn you may be experiencing symptoms of an unhealthy gut. Other common symptoms of gut health issues can include unintentional weight changes, sleep disturbances, skin irritation, autoimmune conditions, and food intolerances. We always recommend consulting your physician when determining if you are experiencing gut health issues and before taking any new supplements.*
If you are not experiencing gut issues today, you have the opportunity to take a proactive versus a reactive approach to your health. 70% of your immune system is located in your gut. This means that supplementing your diet with a probiotic supports your immune system in staying strong against the attacks that are to come. Further, a daily probiotic supports nutrient absorption. No matter how many superfoods you eat, your body cannot break them down without heathy bacteria. And ultimately, a body robust in healthy and diverse bacteria can impact your mood, and support your mental and emotional balance each and every day.*
Immunobiotics (also called postbiotics) are superpower microorganisms that improve your immune system.Years of research have led us to the development of a bacteria with a strengthened cell wall that is more resistant to external conditions. This means, immunobitoics can survive harsh conditions through digestion and activate immune cells in the gut. As the immune cells are activated, resistance to harmful viruses and diseases increases.
Prebiotics are a source of food for the “good” bacteria in your gut. Feeding these beneficial bacteria helps to support your microbiome and improve overall digestive health.
The microbiome is the aggregate of all microbiota (communities of bacteria) that live on and inside the human body. Every human has a unique microbiome that reveals much about health, well-being, and biological information. The number of genes in all the microbes in one person's microbiome is 200 times the number of genes in the human genome.
Dysbiosis is a reduction in microbial diversity. Dysbiosis includes a loss of beneficial bacteria such as Bacteroides strains and butyrate-producing bacteria. The main symptom of dysbiosis is digestive disturbance.
L-glutamine is an amino acid. Amino acids are nutrients that help synthesize protein in the human body for nutrition.
The gut lining uses L-glutamine to create a strong surface for digestion and absorption. L-glutamine is an effective treatment to heal the gut lining from leaky gut, malabsorption, or inflammatory bowel disease (IBS, Crohn’s, Ulcerative colitis). L-Glutamine tightens the open junctions that occur in a leaky gut and signals for them to create more mucus needed for proper digestion.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant whose power is often associated only with immune health. However, Vitamin C also is an essential vitamin aiding in digestion as it supports the body’s absorption of iron.
Vitamin D has been shown to significantly increase the diversity in your gut microbes. Currently, Vitamin D deficiency affects approximately 80% of individuals in some countries. Daily Vitamin D intake may immediately improve gut and immune health.
