The bloat that arrives the week before your period and leaves with it is not a digestion problem. It is a hormone problem that shows up in your gut. Hormone Balance ES1 is the daily probiotic built for the estrobolome, the gut bacteria that regulate estrogen. Your gut supports your hormones. Your probiotic should, too.

Bloating that runs on your cycle, not on what you ate.
You have already tried the obvious things. Less salt, fewer beans, no dairy, no carbonation. It helps a little and then the week before your period arrives and none of it matters. If the pattern below looks familiar, this page is for you.
You wake up flat and finish the day looking three months pregnant, and it gets worse the week before your period
Your waistband fits differently in week three than in week one
Puffiness in your hands, face or ankles that arrives premenstrually
Constipation or slower digestion in the days before you bleed
Gas and a tight, distended feeling that food rules don't fix
Sugar and salt cravings in the same window as the bloat
Breast tenderness, mood swings and PMS that arrive with it
Relief once your period starts, then the cycle repeats
It has gotten noticeably worse in your late thirties or forties
In a study of healthy women, roughly three in four reported gastrointestinal symptoms before or during their period, with bloating among the most common.4 It is not in your head, and it is not your dinner.
Hormonal bloat is three things happening at once.
Your gut slows down
After ovulation, progesterone rises. Progesterone relaxes smooth muscle, including the muscle that moves food through your gut, so transit slows and gas has more time to build.5 That is the tight, distended feeling.
Your body holds water
Estrogen influences how your kidneys handle sodium and fluid. When the estrogen-to-progesterone ratio shifts in the luteal phase, water retention follows.6 That is the puffiness and the waistband.
Your gut bacteria set the baseline
A group of gut bacteria called the estrobolome decides how much used estrogen is cleared versus reabsorbed.1,2 When it is out of balance, the monthly swing is bigger, and so is the bloat that rides on it.3
This is why food rules only get you so far. Cutting beans does not change your progesterone, and a diuretic does not change your estrobolome. The lever that touches both the gut and the hormones is the bacteria in between them.
Your gut supports your hormones. Your probiotic should, too.
Most probiotics were designed for digestion alone. That is a fine job, but it is not this job. Hormonal bloat sits at the point where your gut and your hormones meet, so the probiotic that addresses it has to be built for both.
Seven strains chosen for the gut–hormone axis. Nothing else in it.
Hormone Balance ES1 is the daily probiotic built around the estrobolome, the gut bacteria that decide how much used estrogen is cleared and how much is reabsorbed. When that system is in balance, the monthly estrogen swing is smaller, transit stays regular through the luteal phase, and the gut lining stays calm. That is the gut–hormone connection, and it is where hormonal bloat relief starts.
The 7-strain probiotic complex
Seven clinically studied strains selected for women's gut–hormone health, not a generic digestive blend repackaged for women. Lactobacillus species in particular have been studied for their effect on bloating and abdominal distension in controlled trials.7
Ahiflower® Omega 3·6·9
A plant-based seed oil rich in SDA, GLA and ALA, included to support a healthy inflammatory response in the gut lining. An irritated gut wall is a bloated gut wall, and a calm one handles the monthly hormonal swing with less drama.
No fish, no fillers, no aftertaste. Citrus-scented capsules, one a day, with or without food.
Formulated for every life stage: cycling years, perimenopause and beyond. Hormonal bloat often worsens in the late thirties and forties as cycles become less predictable, which is exactly when the estrobolome's job matters most.

What women say about the bloat.
Game changer for my Bloating & PMS Symptoms
"I've struggled for years with constant bloating and horrible PMS symptoms—mood swings, discomfort, and feeling completely off hormonally. I decided to give this a try, and I'm so glad I did.
Since taking this probiotic, I've noticed a huge improvement in my bloating, my mood is much more balanced, and overall my hormones feel more regulated. My PMS symptoms are significantly more manageable, which honestly feels life-changing.
I take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, before I drink my morning tea, and it's been very gentle and easy to stick to. I'm already on my 3rd bottle, and that alone says a lot.
This is now a non-negotiable part of my daily routine. I highly recommend!"
Great supplement
"I waited until I finished a bottle to write my review. I am very happy with this supplement. Pros: Way less bloating than when I started. I noticed a marked difference by week 2."
The best so far
"It works for me it ease my bloating it curves my cravings I go out regularly my period comes on time its value for ur money"
Bloat responds first. Give the cycle time to follow.
A probiotic works by establishing itself in your gut, and that is dose- and time-dependent. Hormonal bloat adds a second clock on top: your cycle. You cannot judge a cycle-driven symptom in less than a cycle. Here is the arc most women describe.
The gut settles first
Digestion is the fastest-responding piece. Less gas, more regular days, and a flatter evening. This is the window Kimberly describes, and it is the most common first change we hear about.
The premenstrual week softens
One to two cycles in is where the week-before changes: less water retention, a waistband that stays put, and PMS that is easier to live with. The first full cycle is the real test.
The compounding window
By the third cycle the pattern is usually clear. The bloat that used to run the week is smaller, shorter and more predictable, and the rest of your cycle feels steadier with it.
Consistency beats intensity. One capsule, every day, for three cycles. Missing a day will not undo your progress, but starting and stopping means you never get past the first cycle, which is the one that tells you nothing. That is why the recommended starting point is 90 days.
1,400+ clinicians, including OB/GYNs, share it with patients.
"As an Integrative Reproductive Endocrinologist, I see the profound impact hormones have on people's lives every day. I am so excited there is now a probiotic that focuses on the foundational role the gut microbiome has on hormone regulation."
"So exciting to have an everyday probiotic that actually supports women's health. The gut has endocrine inputs and outputs that regulate so much, from menstrual cycles and weight to immune function and mood."
Start with 90 days. Three cycles is how long it takes to judge it.

Questions women ask us about bloating
How is hormonal bloat different from regular bloating?+
Regular bloating follows food: a big meal, beans, dairy, carbonation. Hormonal bloat follows your calendar. It builds after ovulation, peaks in the days before your period and eases once you bleed, whatever you ate. If yours tracks the month rather than the meal, it is hormonal, and food rules alone will not fix it.
How quickly will my bloating improve?+
Digestive changes often come first, within the first two weeks, which is the window Kimberly describes in the review at the top of this page. The premenstrual bloat usually takes one to two full cycles to shift, because you have to go through the week-before to see the difference. Judge it at three cycles.
Will it make me gassy at first?+
Some women notice a few days of adjustment as the strains establish themselves, usually mild and gone within the first week. Most notice nothing but a gentler gut. Taking it at the same time each day, with or without food, keeps it smooth. If you are sensitive, start with it at breakfast.
Is this a diuretic or a laxative?+
Neither. There are no diuretics, laxatives, fibre bulking agents, charcoal or enzymes in it. Those move water or stool for a day. Hormone Balance works on the bacteria that sit between your gut and your hormones, which is where cycle-driven bloat comes from.
Does it help with constipation before my period?+
Slower transit in the luteal phase is progesterone doing its job, and a healthier gut microbiome handles that slowdown better. Many women tell us regularity is one of the first things to improve, and it is a common theme in reviews. It is not a laxative, so it will not force anything.
I'm in perimenopause and the bloat is new. Is this for me?+
Yes. As cycles become irregular in the late thirties and forties, the estrogen swing gets bigger and less predictable, and bloat often shows up or worsens. The estrobolome's role in clearing estrogen matters more in that window, not less. Perimenopause is one of the most common reasons women start.
How is this different from the probiotic I already take?+
Most probiotics are built for digestion, with strains chosen for gut comfort. Hormone Balance ES1 uses seven strains selected for the gut–hormone axis and pairs them with Ahiflower® Omega 3·6·9 for the gut lining. If your bloat runs on your cycle, you need a probiotic built for both sides of that.
Do I need to refrigerate it?+
No. Store it at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Take one capsule daily with water, with or without food, whatever makes it easiest to remember.
Is it safe with my medication, or if I'm pregnant?+
It's hormone-free, vegan, third-party tested, and free from nine major allergens. That said, if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication, talk to your healthcare provider before starting, as you should with any new supplement.
What if it doesn't work for me?+
Email hello@dailynouri.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll arrange a return and full refund. We'd rather you tell us it didn't work than quietly give up on it.
