Perimenopause is not a switch that flips at 51. It is a transition that can run for years, with estrogen swinging higher and lower than it ever did in your cycling years. Hormone Balance ES1 is the daily probiotic built for the estrobolome, the gut bacteria that help regulate estrogen, so your gut can support your hormones through every stage of the change.

  • 7 clinically studied strains, 12 billion CFU, chosen for the gut–hormone axis
  • Plus 265 mg Ahiflower® Omega 3·6·9 for a calm gut lining, no fish oil

Solving The Problem You're Experiencing

Something changed in your forties. Most women are never told what.

Your sleep breaks at 3am. Your cycle shows up early, late or not at all. Your jeans fit differently and your patience is shorter. You are told it is stress, or age, or just how it goes. Very often it is perimenopause, and it can start years before your periods stop. If several of these sound familiar, this page is for you.

51

is the average age of a woman's final period in the US. Perimenopause often begins four to ten years earlier.4

7.4 yrs

was the median length of hot flashes and night sweats across the menopause transition in the SWAN study.5

✓

Hot flashes that arrive out of nowhere

✓

Cycles that are shorter, longer or skipped

✓

Periods that are heavier than they used to be

✓

New bloating and slower digestion

✓

Weight shifting to the midsection

✓

Mood swings, anxiety or irritability you don't recognise

✓

Brain fog and energy that runs out by mid-afternoon

✓

PMS that is worse now than it was in your thirties

The Simple Explanation

How perimenopause happens, in three steps.

1

Ovulation becomes less regular

As egg supply declines, some cycles pass without ovulation. Progesterone is made after ovulation, so it is usually the first hormone to fall.6

2

Estrogen swings instead of declining smoothly

The brain pushes harder to trigger ovulation, and estrogen can spike higher than in your thirties before dropping sharply. These swings drive many of the symptoms women notice first.6

3

Your gut feels the change too

Estrogen and progesterone both act on the gut, and the gut microbiome shifts across the menopause transition, including the bacteria that make up the estrobolome.3,7

That last step works in both directions. Your hormones change your gut, and your gut bacteria influence how much estrogen stays in circulation. Perimenopause is a hormonal transition, and your gut is part of it.

The Transition, Stage By Stage

What changes, and when you are likely to feel it.

Late 30s to early 40s

Late reproductive

Subtle

Cycles still regular · progesterone starting to dip

Periods arrive on time, but PMS may feel stronger, sleep lighter and the week before your period harder than it used to be.

Usually 40s

Early perimenopause

Variable

Estrogen swinging · cycles shifting by 7+ days

Cycles start to change length. Estrogen highs and lows get bigger, and bloating, breast tenderness, mood changes and broken sleep often show up here first.6

Mid to late 40s

Late perimenopause

Most intense

60+ days between periods · estrogen falling more often

Periods become far apart. Hot flashes and night sweats are most common in this stretch, along with changes in weight distribution and digestion.5

12 months after final period

Postmenopause

Settling

Estrogen and progesterone stay low

Hormones settle at a new, lower baseline. The estrobolome keeps working, and supporting it remains part of looking after your long-term health.

The Estrobolome

Your gut doesn't just react to estrogen. It helps regulate it.

The estrobolome is the collection of gut bacteria that metabolize estrogen. Your liver packages used estrogen so it can leave the body in stool. Some gut bacteria make an enzyme, β-glucuronidase, that unpacks it again, so it is reabsorbed instead of eliminated.1,2

Research on women across the menopause transition has found lower gut microbiome diversity and changes in estrobolome bacteria after menopause.7 When estrogen is already swinging, a balanced estrobolome is one of the few parts of the system you can support every day.

The Gut–Hormone Connection

Your gut supports your hormones. Your probiotic should, too.

Most probiotics were designed for digestion alone. Perimenopause sits where your gut and your hormones meet, so the probiotic that supports you through it has to be built for both.

Why Hormone Balance

Seven strains chosen for the gut–hormone axis. Nothing else in it.

Hormone Balance ES1 is the daily probiotic built around the estrobolome, the gut bacteria that decide how much used estrogen is cleared and how much is reabsorbed. When that system is in balance, the monthly estrogen swing is smaller, digestion stays more regular and the gut lining stays calm. That is the gut–hormone connection, and supporting it every day is how you support your hormones through perimenopause.

12 BILLION CFU

The 7-strain probiotic complex

Seven clinically studied strains selected for women's gut–hormone health, not a generic digestive blend repackaged for women. Lactobacillus species in particular have been studied for their role in estrogen metabolism and the gut–hormone axis.3

So glad I found these!!!

"This is my first time ever taking any supplement/ vitamins, and I will be 48 soon.

I have always had problems with sleep, and now that I'm in perimenopause it's been so much worse. I started these a month ago and for the first time in my life I am sleeping great!

The whole night through! I also feel better through out the day. The only regret I have is not starting these sooner!!!"

Why Consistency Matters

Your gut responds first. The transition takes longer.

A probiotic works by establishing itself in your gut, and that is dose- and time-dependent. Perimenopause adds a second clock on top: hormones that shift month to month, and sometimes week to week. Here is the arc most women describe.

Weeks 1–2

Digestion settles first

The gut is the fastest-responding piece. Less bloating, more regular days and a calmer stomach after meals.

Weeks 3–6

Days start to feel steadier

Around the one-month mark many women describe feeling better through the day. This is the window M describes in her review.

Weeks 7–12

The compounding window

By month three the pattern is usually clear. The gut–hormone support has had time to build, and the ups and downs feel easier to live with.

✦

Consistency beats intensity. One capsule, every day. Missing a day will not undo your progress, but starting and stopping means the strains never get the chance to establish. Give it at least three months.

Proof

1,632 clinicians, including OB/GYNs, share it with patients.

"As an Integrative Reproductive Endocrinologist, I see the profound impact hormones have on people's lives every day. I am so excited there is now a probiotic that focuses on the foundational role the gut microbiome has on hormone regulation."

Dr. Lauren Rubal
Reproductive Endocrinologist

"So exciting to have an everyday probiotic that actually supports women's health. The gut has endocrine inputs and outputs that regulate so much, from menstrual cycles and weight to immune function and mood."

Questions women ask us about perimenopause

What is perimenopause?+

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause, which is defined as 12 months without a period. During perimenopause, ovulation becomes less regular, progesterone falls and estrogen swings up and down. It usually starts in your forties and can last several years.

How do I know if I'm in perimenopause?+

The clearest early sign is a change in cycle length of seven days or more. Broken sleep, night sweats, hot flashes, heavier periods, mood changes and new bloating are also common. Because hormones fluctuate so much, a single blood test often can't confirm it. Your clinician will look at your age, cycle and symptoms together.

Why does perimenopause affect my gut?+

Estrogen and progesterone both act on the gut, so when they swing, digestion and bloating often change too. The gut microbiome also shifts across the menopause transition, including the estrobolome bacteria that help regulate how much estrogen your body clears.

How can a probiotic help during perimenopause?+

Hormone Balance ES1 supports the estrobolome, a balanced microbiome and a calm gut lining. It does not replace estrogen or stop the transition. It supports the gut–hormone system underneath it, every day.

Does it contain hormones? Can I take it with HRT?+

There are no hormones, hormone analogues, soy isolates or stimulants in it. Many women take it alongside other care, but if you use HRT or any medication, check with your prescriber before starting.

How quickly will I notice a difference?+

Digestive changes often come first, within the first two weeks. Other changes take longer because perimenopause hormones shift from month to month. Give it at least three months of daily use before you judge it.

Is it also for after menopause?+

Yes. It is formulated for every stage, from cycling years through postmenopause. The estrobolome keeps working after your final period, and supporting it stays part of long-term health.

Do I need to refrigerate it?+

No. Store it at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Take one capsule daily with water, with or without food, whatever makes it easiest to remember.

Is it safe with my medication?+

It's hormone-free, vegan, third-party tested, and free from nine major allergens. That said, if you're taking medication or managing a medical condition, talk to your healthcare provider before starting, as you should with any new supplement.

What if it doesn't work for me?+

Email hello@dailynouri.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll arrange a return and full refund. We'd rather you tell us it didn't work than quietly give up on it.
